The number of passengers grounded in St Lucia due to disputes with airlines continues to increase as more complaints surface. On this occasion, travellers were unable to catch their flights out after Inter Caribbean cancelled a flight to Antigua.

According to one of the passengers, who wished to remain anonymous, airline personnel refused to attempt negotiations with another carrier in an effort to assist stranded individuals to leave the island. The local added, that she was told that the next flight to her destination was 20 days away. Further, the traveller noted that she was unable to source a refund for the ticket which cost, 748 USD.

“That’s the only way these people will stop; when you blast them on the media.” the angry passenger lamented. “I will certainly be taking this further”This is not the first instance involving stranded airline passengers, in the last month. Several other passengers have suffered similar fates since the culmination of this year’s Carnival.
