Young St. Lucian innovators were the beneficiaries of a youth expo hosted by the Caribbean Development Bank on Friday June 16th. The event was at the culmination of the inaugural Youth for Innovation and Resilience Program, also known as Youth Fire.
The Constitution Park played host to over 20 young, innovate entrepreneurs, showcasing the creative ways they have contributed to building eco-friendly, efficient enterprises. The Director of Innovation, Linnel Malzaire, St. Lucia is proud to host this event. She believes that the initiative will go a long way in showcasing what young innovators can bring to the table.
“ This is the first time the CDB has chosen to do an expo of that magnitude and its starting right here in St. Lucia” she said. “We are so happy to be the first and to set the bar for rest of the region in terms of how we create space for youth in enterprise, to showcase their processes, their products and services” she added.
The Youth Fire Program serves as the precursor to the CDB’s 53rd Annual Meeting of its Board of Governors.
