St. Lucia’s sprint queen, Julien Alfred, will be sponsored by sportswear giant, Puma when she competes at this year’s Diamond League in Monaco. The 22-year-old track sensation has dazzled the world of athletics in recent months and is currently undefeated over 100 meters this year.
Alfred’s recent decision to go professional after a record-breaking collegiate campaign was always certain to turn the heads of several global sponsorship agencies. With recent her victory at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial in Hungary, the phenom further proved her billboard worthiness and was quickly snatched up on a deal.
“Julien is an incredible athlete, one we believe will continue to make history on the track,” said Pascal Rolling, Head of Sports Marketing at PUMA. “She is the true embodiment of forever faster and our ambition to be the fastest brand on the planet – we’re thrilled to have her join the PUMA family.”
Alfred will be hoping to continue to shine, as she prepares to secure a medal at the World Championships in August.
