The government of St Lucia and the French Embassy, have collaborated to launch a program intended to tackle gender-based violence on island. At an event held at the ambassador’s residents on Tuesday, stakeholders from the public and private sectors met to discuss the particulars of the initiative and plan the way forward. The program is scheduled to take place over a period of 24 months and aligns with the government’s drive to eradicate all forms of gender based violence. The public is also encouraged to take an active part in the project support the fight against gender-based violence.
