One male is currently nursing gunshot wounds, after being shot by police in the wee hours of Friday morning. According to reports, law enforcement shot the unidentified male after he evaded a police checkpoint. Despite orders to stop, the suspect reportedly fired shots at pursuing officers, escalating the situation. In order to subdue the individual, police returned fire, hitting the suspect in the process. Following the event apprehension, officers recovered what has now been confirmed as an unlicensed firearm. The matter is currently under investigation by the police.
