Massy Stores St. Lucia is continuing its drive to support local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on island. On Saturday, June 3rd , the retail chain hosted a marketplace for entrepreneurs at the Massy Stores Mega Carpark. The event was intended to give the business owners a platform to market their products to a wider audience.
According to Managing Director for Massy Stores, Martin Dorville, the event showcased the ingenuity and the bravery it takes to pursue business ventures.
“What you see on display today is a sense of courage, with some people doing things that they possibly wouldn’t even dare to do before” Dorville said. “What we see on display is creativity, what we see on display is risk taking”
Dorville went on to acknowledge Massy’s 100th anniversary and reaffirmed the business’ commitment to supporting empowerment based initiatives, designed to support the growth of local entrepreneurs and by extension the local economy.
