The music world is mourning the death of yet another iconic voice as internationally recognized vocalist Sinead O’Connor, passed away on July 26th.

Born Sinéad Marie Bernadette O’Connor, the artiste became a global sensation after the hit single “Nothing Compares 2 U” hit number one in 1990 on the Billboard Charts.

O’Connor’s notable ball-headed image served a provocative symbol throughout the 90s. The move was initially an assertion against traditional views of women, but slowly became seen as a fashion statement by many fans.The singer’s death was announced via a family issued statement, without indicating the cause. Sinéad O’Connor was 56.
