Castries Central’s Member of Parliament, Richard Frederick, has addressed inquiries regarding the recently installed parking meters in the city center. These machines are designed to collect fees in exchange for the privilege of parking vehicles in specific areas for a limited time, with the aim of alleviating traffic congestion in Castries. However, since their installation, motorists have been left with more questions than answers regarding their operation.

The Castries Central MP has stated that training for managing these meters is currently in progress. He also mentioned that once this training is completed, the meters will be activated and available for use.

“We have persons being trained to handle the parking meters and as soon as that exercise has been completed, we will turn on the parking meters.” he said.
