Two individuals were injured following an accident in Grande Rivere, Gros Islet on Sunday, May 28. According to reports, a motorcycle collied with a pedestrian at about 10:15 p.m., causing both motorcyclist and pedestrian to walk away with injuries.
In an official statement, the Press Relations Officer at the St Lucia Fire Service Stacy Jospeh, stated that both individuals required treatment at the hospital following the accident.
“The 30 plus year old female pedestrian was found complaining of pain to one of her shoulders and legs. She sustained an open fracture and abrasions on her body. The patient was transferred to the ambulance, where her wounds were treated and she was transported in a stable condition to the OKEU Hospital” Joseph said. “The rider of the motorcycle was also found complaining of pain to his ankle. He was also transferred to an awaiting ambulance, where he was assessed and transported to the OKEU Hospital in a stable condition.”
