A local human rights advocate has weighed in on the death penalty debate that has resurfaced over the past few weeks. In response to comments made by Prime Minister of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, Felicia Browne has cautioned against haste to resort to such drastic measures to combat crime. Ms. Browne stated that there are better means to tackle the issue of crime through the use of methods catered to preventing young people from starting criminal activity in the first place. According to Browne, if we revert to this tactic, we will be doing more harm than good.
