On Sunday, September 24, 2023, about 9:10 PM, Police Officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Vieux-Fort Police Station received and responded to a report of a shooting at Bruceville, Vieux Fort.
On arrival at the scene, the Officers observed the motionless body of a male individual lying on the road. This individual was later identified as twenty-three [23] year-old Ryan Henry of Bruceville, Vieux-Fort. Initial inquiries revealed that moments before the shooting occurred, the victim had arrived at the scene on-board a motor vehicle. A lone gunman emerged, and discharged several rounds in his direction.
Ryan Henry was transported to the St. Jude’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor. This matter is being actively investigated as a homicide. Over the past few weeks, the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force has demonstrated its commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of our citizens.
