The Royal St. Lucia Police Force has sounded the alarm to raise public awareness to the prevalence of online vehicular scams. According the police, the worrying trend may include scammers posing as legitimate sellers or buyers, offering fake payment methods or documents, or asking for personal or financial information.
In an effort to help would-be victims avoid the swindlers, the RSLPF has put out two videos, detailing possible tactics used by perpetrators. The videos provide tips and advice on how to spot and report online scams involving vehicles.
