The island recorded yet another suspected drowning on Sunday May 28th at a beach in Gros Islet. According to reports, officers responded to call for assistance at about 8:10 am. Upon arrival on the scene, emergency personnel found the male victim, lying down, whilst being attended to by two other individuals. The EMTs quickly took over responsibilities from the first-aiders, but to no avail. Assessments of the situation revealed that the individual was void of all vital signs. The victim was then transferred to hospital for further care, but his condition never improved.
