A plea has gone out to all drone operators, with equipment flying in the city to take them down immediately due to safety concerns involving aircraft. This comes as a statement from the official management partner for St. Lucia Carnival, Events St. Lucia, on their social media pages.

“The number of drones being flown in the vicinity of the George FL Charles Airport have resulted in the airport being at a standstill, with aircrafts being unable to utilize the airport. Anyone found flying a drone in the area will be held to account by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force.” the statement read.

The public is reminded to act in good conscience and enjoy the festivities responsibly.
