The winners of the 2023 Soca Monarch Competition were officially decided on Friday July 7th. At an event that rocked the crowd to several tunes, Imran Nerdy and 5-time monarch Arthur Allain walked away with the Power and Groovy monarch titles, respectively.Allain, who had returned to the stage after a short haitus, soothed fans with “Irie”, a mellow tune adored by many. His fellow monarch Imran Nerdy, who also returned from a stint away from the main event, was crowned king with the song Clock Out, which has been noted by some observers as a potential international hit.The full results of the competition were as follows:
