The Water and Sewage Company (WASCO) has issued an apology to the general public for the supply issues experienced over the past few days. According to WASCO officials, the lack of flow stemmed from damaged coupling on the main supply line to the Theobalds treatment plant.

“Our crews attended to eight major repairs on the raw water line from the John Compton Dam and one major repair near LUCELEC on the John Compton highway. All repairs were completed by 6 pm and the system was reopened. However, the supply to Theobalds treatment plant was not restored.” an official statement by the company said. “Further investigations late last evening revealed that this was due to a damaged coupling on the main supply line.”

As of today, June 1st, 2023, repairs are still being tended to by WASCO personnel. There has been no confirmation as to when these issues will be resolved.
